Organist Beau Sasser and drummer Bill Carbone spent several years as 2/3 of the late soul-jazz guitarist Melvin Sparks’ trio. At first, most nights featured Sparks’ distinctive brand of constructive criticism, but they listened & learned & ultimately developed an undeniable chemistry. This is their way of honoring Melvin by performing his music & imagining what else he'd do if he was still here.
